It's a particularly warm Sunday for November. The sun is beaming through the windows, bringing joy after the last week of rain and clouds. I'm snuggled up with my boys while I ask them what they want to do for special time today. In unison, they say, "Magna-Tiles"! My oldest was given a set of magnetic tiles two years ago for Christmas. They have remained at the top of the list ever since. We have bought several add-on sets to help continue our building possibilities.

I find they are easier to use than traditional building blocks. The magnetic sides allow the tiles to easily stick together. It also makes it easy to store since all the tiles magnetically stick together, stacking easily. They are durable and come in a variety of colors and shapes. A great starter set can be found here.
My oldest loves to build rockets and pyramids. My youngest son (aka the Hurricane) loves building trains. We found this car set that is perfect for building trains found here. He builds long trains with cars for the people that can be found here. Naturally, the train always ends up crashing into his brother's rocket or pyramid leading to lots of giggles.
One of the newer sets we have added is the dinosaur set found here. We are giving it to them at Christmas. I am not sure why boys love dinosaurs so much, but they absolutely do. I am excited to see their faces on Christmas morning when they open it. I love that this can be something that grows with them and the possibilities are endless. They have sets to meet any child's interest.
This is a great way to spend time with your child and build something fun and different every time. Today we are going to tackle a car ramp. I am excited to see how it goes.
